Hi. I’m Steve.

I’m based in New York.

I write songs and record everything myself, which means if something sounds wrong there’s nobody else to blame.

Before music took over, I spent a lot of time working as a digital artist and designer. At one point AOL Time Warner even had me make Winamp skins for things like Matchbox 20’s Mad Season and films like Frequency, Blow, and Little Nicky.

There were also projects for Pizza Hut and Six Flags, which is probably the most rock and roll sentence I’ll ever write.

Later on I contributed work to game franchises like Guitar Hero, Skylanders, and Mario Kart Live, which means there’s a decent chance something I worked on distracted you from doing something more productive.

That design background still creeps into my music. When I’m writing a song, I usually hear the full arrangement in my head - the whole finished thing - which is helpful, because it saves a lot of guesswork later.

My album Another Go came out of a stretch where I was feeling pretty burned out and wondering whether I should just stop making music entirely. The title comes from a line in the song “Lost Along the Way,” which is about deciding to try again anyway.

Maybe that resonates with you.

Thanks for listening.
